I'm an acute care surgeon who lives near Omaha, Nebraska with my wife, two sons, rescue hound, and a collection of South American aquarium fish. I also enjoy painting.
I've always loved art. I grew up outside of Washington, D.C. and always enjoyed creating things, but I gravitated toward painting during medical school as a hobby and creative outlet. My first paintings were portraits of childhood dogs for family and friends, and my work has evolved since then.
My favorite artist is Vincent van Gogh, and I am drawn to Post-Impressionism, Expressionism, Tonalism, Symbolism, and Fauvism. Hillman Terzian | Art serves as a personal portfolio of some of my work. My paintings are influenced by many things, and outside of spending time with family and friends, creating art remains one of my favorite pastimes. I also enjoy tending to my fish, dabbling in musical instruments, learning about history, and exploring the natural world.
Painting offers a measure of catharsis amid the demands of a challenging clinical life that I genuinely love.
